TOLGÁ TAHSINOV | TOGGY

ABOUT ME

Hello!

My name is Tolga J. Tahsinov, also known as TOGGY — a writer, musician, amateur artist, teacher, and creative producer.

I am the author of five published books in which I explore human emotions, relationships, and the inner worlds that often remain hidden behind everyday life. Alongside my literary work, I’ve been developing my musical journey as a guitarist, composer, and performer, shaped by years of playing string instruments, working in the studio, and performing on stages across the country.

My work moves between words, music, and visual art. I write poetry, prose, and song lyrics. I compose, arrange, record, mix, and master music projects — from the initial idea to the final sound. I paint and create visual images through which I continue the stories where words and melodies end. I give shape to ideas through the guitar, bass, piano, brush, pencil, microphone, or blank page.

As a teacher, I work with beginner musicians, helping them take their first steps into the world of music. I offer private lessons in guitar and bass guitar, where together we develop not only instrumental skills but also singing, musical ear, and confidence in self-expression. Part of the training also includes an introduction to home recording, music production, and creating original music.

In my own studio, I work on recording vocals and instruments, as well as mixing and mastering original projects. I believe that every song deserves a sound that conveys its message in the purest and most impactful way.

In addition to literature and music, I also develop myself as an artist. For me, painting is not a separate art form, but a natural extension of the creative process another language through which I express mood, character, and story. Whether I’m creating a text, a song, or a painting, I’m searching for the same truth: the emotion behind the form.

Together with organizations, cultural spaces, and local communities that support art in all its forms, we create events, literary readings, music evenings, and creative gatherings in various cities across Bulgaria. To date, I have participated in organizing and hosting literary and musical events in Plovdiv, Varna, Ruse, Pleven, and Silistra, bringing people together around a shared need for culture, sharing, and live art.

Everything I create has one intention — to transform emotion into form and give it a life of its own.

As a writer,

I speak through pages. I’m the author of Melancholic, Letters”, Tamed, Purgatory –  originally written in Bulgarian, translated into different international languages and my latest book On The Way – published in Bulgarian, and awaiting official physical publication in English.

My work moves between poetry, introspection, and the quiet corners of human experience. I help others shape their stories too – from the first spark of an idea to a polished manuscript.

Whether you need original text, editing, or guidance through the whole creative process, we can build it together.

As an artist,

I’m a self-taught string musician who first touched a guitar at fifteen, then left it waiting for years – until something in me insisted I return. When I picked it up again, the path unfolded on its own.

I learned my favorite songs, then learned how to bend them, break them, and improvise around their edges. Curiosity pulled me into recording, composition, and eventually into full music production – shaping sound from raw idea to finished track.

That journey still grows every day, through guitar, piano, voice, and the constant urge to create something honest.

Events & Literary Gatherings

I actively organize and take part in literary and creative events together with fellow authors and cultural organizers. Alongside collaborative formats, I also host solo book presentations, carefully curated with a structured program, atmosphere, and catering – turning each event into an experience, not just a reading.

Over the years, these gatherings have traveled through many of the country’s major cities, meeting readers face to face and building a living dialogue around books and storytelling. My intention is to expand this journey – more frequent events, new locations, and stages both in Bulgaria and abroad.

Traveling, connecting with other writers, readers, and supporters of literature is an essential part of my creative process. Stories are born on the page, but they truly come alive when shared.
